Who we are

  • This blog is used by staff at the United Nations Economic Commision for Europe in order to share and pool research information on Regional Trade Agreements (RTAs). The principal focus is RTAs in Southeast Europe, the CIS and Central Asia, with a secondary focus on RTAs in Western and Central Europe and North America. For comparison purposes, we may also post information about RTAs in other parts of the world.

This document has been published by the Asian Development Bank as a chapter of its Annual Asian Development Outlook for 2002. It reviews the existing PTAs, and assesses the evolution in the expansion of these PTAs, their broad economic effects and effects on trade.
